Meet the Governors​

Our Governors are appointed to meet specific criteria for their category of governor: Foundation​, Local Authority, Staff or Parent. Our current governors introduce themselves here.

Steve Deadman

Steve has been a Foundation Governor since July 2016, having been a friend of Elizabeth Kenny (previous headteacher)’s and a fellow parishioner at Immaculate Conception, Portswood for some 30 years.  A retired Accountant, living in Bitterne with his wife, Sue, they have 4 grown up children living in the Southampton area who attended Springhill, St Anne's and St George.  Steve has a Theology degree and has done voluntary work, mainly with the youth and the homeless for 40 years, running Catechetic Programmes for Sacraments, Adult Formation and Prayer in parishes. He currently runs a youth club, a Sunday Lunch Project for the homeless, Cafod workshops in schools, does Street Pastoring in Southampton and runs prayer and liturgy groups. He is especially interested in religious education, questions of poverty and cultural diversity at St Patrick’s and in contributing to all our aims for an Outstanding School, sharing Jesus' example of Love.

Andy Hiscock

Andy was appointed in April 2024 having previously been a parent governor. All of his 3 children attended St Patrick's and he is very prominent in the local area as proprietor of several pre-schools.

Patrick Moore

Patrick was appointed as a Foundation Governor in September 2022. He is former pupil of the school and a parishioner at St Patrick's Church.

Marta Bas

Marta was been elected as a Parent Governor in May 2023. She has two children attending St Patrick's. She is working towards a PhD in sociolinguistics at Southampton University and is also a teacher of English for Academic Purposes on a Pre-Seasonal course at the University.

She is originally from Poland but Southampton has been her home since 2009. In her free time she loves being with her family, reading books, learning languages (especially French and Russian) and travelling.

Paul O'Driscoll

Paul is a parishioner at St Patrick's Church and was appointed in June 2023.

Fr Ross Bullock

Fr Ross was born and grew up on the Isle of Wight, which is where he first felt called to be a priest; he read Theology and Sociology at St Mary’s University College, London, followed by a successful career in education for twelve years teaching in both London and in South India. He was ordained a priest in June 2016 at Portsmouth Cathedral by Bishop Philip, having completed his seminary formation at Allen Hall Seminary in London. After several years in other parishes in the Diocese, he was moved back to Southampton in 2019 to become the Parish Priest of St Patrick’s Woolston and Annunciation Church, Netley and now finds himself as the Priest Chaplain to St Patrick’s School which has always had close links to the parish church since it was built.

Tomasz Socha

Tomasz was appointed in April 2021 and has one child at St Patrick's, his older child now at St George's. He and his family are parishioners at St Patrick's Church.

Anneka was elected in February 2024 and has a son at the school in Year 2.

Carly is a Year 4 teacher and has been at St Patrick's since 2018.

Michael Lobo

Michael joined St Patrick’s as Headteacher in September 2017, having worked as a headteacher and school advisor in various areas over the past 10 years.
