End of Term Update - July 2023

We’ve had a lovely and emotional end of term this week and enjoyed celebrating all the successes of the school year. YF finished the term with a tea party for parents followed by a rather wild water play session (not involving parents!) and Y1 loved designing and making smoothies as part of their DT project. Y6 led their own leavers’ Mass in church with Fr Ross, followed by a leavers disco (thank you to the SPSA for this) and then had a farewell in front of the whole school in our leavers’ assembly yesterday afternoon.

Farewell

  • To our wonderful Year 6 children as they head off to their new schools. We know they will carry our PATRICK attitudes with them and will make us proud of their achievements.

  • To Mr Porter as he heads off on his exciting adventure to China. We will always remember what he has done for the children of St Patrick’s and we will keep his sporting legacy going.

  • To Mrs Fernandes as she begins her role as a teaching assistant. She will be especially remembered by the group of children she worked with every day.

Sporting Sensations!

It is a fitting tribute to Mr Porter that both our boys and girls football teams won the City Cup this year, by winning the final match earlier this week. This is the latest in a long line of sporting success for the school, including winning the boys and girls football leagues, the Primary Stars tournament, the swimming gala and the girls cricket among many others. Congratulations to all the children who have taken part and inspired others to follow in their footsteps.
