St Patrick's girls have all developed a passion for cricket and despite it being a new sport to most they were enthusiastic to participate in the School Games Cricket competition. Two teams entered the tournament and both grew in confidence game by game. The A team impressed hugely, winning every match to top their group before convincingly beating their opposition in the final to qualify for the county finals, to be held at the Ageas Bowl.
The B team also impressed as they made it in to the 3rd/4th play off final. They gave a great account of themselves but were narrowly defeated with 5 bowls remaining to finish 4th overall.
Both teams were amazing considering they have only been learning cricket since the start of the spring term. The winning team are extremely excited to be representing Southampton at the Ageas Bowl in the county finals.
